My drawings and ideas are imprinted, painted, and pressed into the clay at different moments of its becoming, layered like traces of time. I am drawn to marks that emerge instinctively—quick, fleeting gestures that resist being fixed. My love of photography informs this way of working: the desire to catch a moment, light slipping across a surface, shadow interrupting form, something seen and then gone.

I am deeply attuned to the texture and tactile nature of clay; the moment my hands meet it, I am home. Making and throwing offer a sense of fluidity and freedom, moving intuitively from individual pieces to larger collections. I invite the alchemy of oxides—their bleeding, drifting leaps in the kiln—to take over, allowing heat, chance, and movement to draw alongside me. My passion for clay and its processes has shaped my creative life, grounding it in touch, movement, and transformation.
